How do I regain energy to keep a scene fresh?
I am currently in a professional youth Shakespeare troupe. I've dedicated a lot of a time to my role for our summer play, a role I appreciate and have had great success in portraying during rehearsals and our first few performances, but I think that I have run lines and the scenes I am in so many times that I have become somewhat complacent. I'm bored and can't figure out how to regain the newness and fun. It's hard to forget that 'I've seen and experienced all of this before.' Is there something I can do before I go on stage or think about to regain the freshness and fun my role used to have? I am a comedic character. We have six more performances. I'd appreciate any advice, thank you!
