Do you think that the phenomena of the Harry Potter books has anything to do with the Twilight books' success?

Before the Twilight books came out, Harry Potter was very popular. To expand upon the question above, with the broadening of people's minds about the supernatural being good and fun and set in a non-threatening context (one that doesn't put religions in the middle of the stories), do you feel the Harry Potter books/movies opened people's minds to accept the Twilight books as something more fun. Of course, the books are wonderful and well written. They envelop the reader and don't ever let go...even when the book ends. What is your opinion?
