Got a speeding ticket, help?

I got a speeding ticket for going 87 in a 70. I was in the wrong and in a hurry to get back to school. The ticket didn't have a court date just that I had to pay in 30 days and included an envelop that I could mail the money in. This happened in Missouri, I'm from Illinois. I have a friend from Missouri who got a ticket in Illinois (where she goes to school) and she was able to fill out a form to take a drivers test to keep points off her record. I would like to do this but am not sure where to go for it. How can I keep points off my record?
